Cover Request Weekly Contest...

Yes, it's true..the Weekly Cover Contest is back!!

I am excited that the website is up and running and I can finally get back to doing what I love most, playing music. Of course, I need your help in choosing songs for these contests so go ahead and think of your favorite song that would like to hear me sing and then add a comment at the bottom of this page with your song vote.

I will choose a winning song every week and post them on my video page as well as my YouTube page every Thursday night dedicated to the lucky winner.

Good luck and I'm looking forward to singing my heart out :)

...I would love to hear you sing "Bridge Across Forever" by one of my fav's Neal Morse/Transatlantic! You would sound AMAZING singing that song & playing the piano!

You have a great voice..I know you can nail that song.

Heya Adrian, how are you lovely?

I love the song the gambler, it is such a good metaphor for life. That people need to know when to stand their ground and when to retreat. The trick in life isn't the cards you've been dealt, but how to play them. Far too many people either don't stand their ground or spend so much time retreating away from things in life they are missing out on life itself. Missing out being who they really are by not standing their ground, not standing up for themselves. Too many times people have been looking for a new hand of cards to play instead of playing the hand they have to the best ability they can. Such a powerful song in so many ways. Not just a song of an old dying poker player as some may think it is. Even I've taken this songs advice in the past and it proved a winner.
Hope all is fine in NYC!

Dear Adrian,

I want you to sing a song for me in Spanish. The woman in the bed next to my mom has a little Dementia. I decided to go sit with her and talk and listen and keep her company because when I laughed she would mimic my laugh and say ahhh shut up over there and call me names.

People with Dementia or Alzhiemers remember way back when. She told me that she is a Spanish teacher!I thought whooooo hoooooo! I don't know who is more excited, me to learn, or her to teach me.

She kept telling me she taught kids Spanish so finally I said well I might as well learn. Maybe she will stop yelling at me. hahaha lol
I said okay teach me. She stopped yelling at me!

She made me get her a piece of paper and she filled the whole page with words.I said to her I betcha you can sing in Spanish. She started to sing to me in Spanish!!!!!!

She speaks 6 languages.

I said these words are all wonderful but how about "Husband" in Spanish!!!!
She started to laugh. She told me though ;) hahahahahaha

Here are your choices:

Hi Adrian!
It has been way too long since I stopped by! I have been singing too and am loving the attention and the creativity that music affords! You know what I mean.

Song is the language of angels and we should give it all the heart we can no matter what song it is from Opera to Musical Comedy!

I would love to hear you sing "Cryin' Time" by Ray Charles!

I love the more personal singing/setting you do for us here and it really show cases your talent as a "live" artist...I like knowing you are singing a number directed at the fans ~ It shows how much you care for us and gives us the staisfaction of showing you how much we support you always!

Hope all is going fine and dandy...and I'll Be BAAAACK! Ha!

Love,
TDC ~ Sheri

If I have to choose one I'd vote for 'If it's Magic' by Stevie Wonder...

Hey there Adrian!--Been awhile since I've checked in, but I often think of you and send Blessings your way. Since this is not the blog page, I'll stick to the topic at hand here, and maybe try to chat a bit at ya' later elsewhere.

So, my choice is one of my all-time fav ever songs--but it might be a tough one 'cause I'm not sure if you'll know it (so naturally I'm "daring" you to play it!)--Van Morrison's "Sweet Thing" ("Astral Weeks" album)....To me this song is pure musical magic and lyrical bliss, and I know you could render it exquisitely....OK wow--that sounds a li'l over the top--but those are the words that came to me when I first considered this request, so I'm leavin' 'em there! (Oh, and--O'M'Gosh!--you wrote a book, btw???--OK, will save that chat for later, but that's awesomely impressive my Friend, and I'm excited for the fun of following your delightful thoughts thru the pages--And I luv-luv-luv that you put a tree on the cover!).

OK, so anyway--"Sweet Thing" is my request, and if you don't already know it then I'm pretty sure I'm outta' luck since you won't even get this 'till Wednesday, so I'll just let ya' know now that it's also my request for next week too, so that way in all fairness you'll actually have a week and a day to learn it (and uh, tweak it to "exquisite" perfection--no pressure though!) if you decide to choose it! ;) And even if you don't decide to choose it, if you haven't ever heard it I hope you'll give it a listen anyway--Am pretty sure at least some part of it's magic will capture you as well.

'K, that's all for here for now, but I'll try to hang out over on the blog for a bit sometime soon....'Till then--

Much sweet Love,
--DareCat (in case somehow you didn't already figure it out!)

Hi there! I would like to suggest "Asi Es La Vida" by Reyli, it has a great beat. :)

In support of all mistreated animals and the organizations that fight to save them, I was wondering if you could sing the song "In the Arms of an Angel", sung originally by Sarah McLachlan! Dawn and Vincent!

Hey Adrian~
Yes, I agree with above. I think that'd be a beautiful song for you to cover. It's also on the City of Angels Soundtrack!

Have a great day!
T~

I Need You by the Eurythmics....from the SAVAGE cd - simple, acoustic, but the vocals are emotionally powerful - showcase that voice full of emotion and use your range all in one song....

I LIKE IT....IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!

Those are all good songs, and I'm sure you can do them.

I remember, years ago, watching one of the last shows of the weekly show, "Fame" The guy who sang "Stay With Me Tonight" by Jeffrey Osborne was awesome. That was the first time I heard the song and I loved it.
Do you think you could do that one, or any Jeffery Osborne song?

Another one I like from back when is "Tonight" by Elton John. I heard it on a tape I had, good song.
